Some significant geological areas includes, the very rich Kalahari Manganese Fields, the Lower Orange River with an immense variety of Quartz forms and various other rare and interesting minerals. Great parts of the Northern Cape has beautiful sedimentary Jaspers sometimes layered in various colours or with Hematite bands.
